Just curious for riders...
If the pin placement or address is wrong - Do you expect the driver to find you?
If he calls for help to find you and you are RUDE or say "I'm over here"  " I  AM OVER HERE!"   Or... ignore the call altogether...  Does that help?

If you just passively act like you are waiting for someone else and show no indication that you are the rider... do you expect them to be clairvoyant and know you are the rider?  (They do not know what you look like!)  ("Hey dumbass, you just passed me!")  Does that help?

To add:

If he finally finds you and gets there to pick you up and you are not wearing masks... and he asks you if you have them and you ignore it... do you expect to see the doors unlocked?

Cumulatively:
If he asks if your friend is OK and he cannot pick himself up off the sidewalk and his puffly face looks like he is going to vomit any second... and you ignore the driver or/and say something smart ass or douchey... Do you really expect the driver to let you in the car or rather drive off?

Just asking for a friend.    99% of riders used to not be like this.

Did you know that Uber drivers do not have to take anyone they do not want to.  Especially if they feel it is not safe or if the rider is overly rude.

Puking in a car actually can ruin it for life.  No amount of cleaning is truly is enough to undo the damage... especially after a full dinner.  If you are so trashed that you cannot speak or show any coherence, cannot be counted on to ask to pull over if necessary - or hit the inside of a bag if necessary... do you expect an Uber with a nice car to just accep…

Don't get me wrong, my tolerance for bad moods is high, but this is about the extreme.

I drive for Uber and, along with many others, pride myself on providing excellent service on many levels.  I am prepared for many situations to handle them gracefully... However, there are lines that I am beginning to feel need to be drawn in the sand.  Sometimes  one needs to heed to one's gut feelings.

I feel a little guilty, but self-preservation and self-respect are kicking in and please know that I am much more tolerant that many.  Normally I try not to things personally... and swallow my pride... diffuse either passively or actively and kill with kindness when it helps... but I also think it is OK to say "Nope, not going to take it," cancel, and not expect to suffer for it.

This is not to say respect your driver: Some are less than stellar, some are fantastic. It is more to raise a level of awareness... There are lines that should not be crossed... and you could find yourself stranded... at least until the next driver gets there.  And while I may not sleep well, it will be better.
