How much do Uber drivers work? How many hours do they drive?
The Guru Take
Varies greatly. More than 80% is part-time.
Large majority of Uber drivers are part-time, where only about 19% drive more than 35 hours a week.
In fact, more than 50% of active drivers (those who drive at least one hour a week) only drive 1~5 hours. This is the nature of a Uber driver, where you drive where you can.
Here's a great table from a join research performed by Princeton and Uber, though this is from 2015.
| Uber drivers-Partners | Taxi Drivers and Chauffeurs (ACS) | |
| 1-15 hours/week | 51% | 4% |
| 16-34 | 30% | 15% |
| 35-49 | 12% | 46% |
| 50+ hours/week | 7% | 35% |

This is an interesting discussion! How much Uber drivers work can really vary depending on their goals—some drive part-time for extra income, while others log long hours to make ends meet. It’s helpful to look at both the flexibility and the real time commitment involved. แทงบอลโลก 2026
...and these are only for active users too. I wonder how the numbers would change with non-active users considered?
Easy.
0~15 hours - 99%
16-34 hours - ~0%
35~49 hours - ~0%
50+ hours - ~0%
Hahaha, this is probably true. My husband is a "driver" or "Uber partner", but he literally has driven once.
It was a prank that he pulled with his friends to show up at the door. Like a dare.
This is some great stats. I wonder if it has changed since it was last collected.
it does make me wonder whether Uber was meant to be performed as a full time job.
