The biggest Uber Marketing Myth is that it's "easy" to clear $1000 a week - why, just turn on the app and drive and it will happen!!!  Yeah right!!!

Can it be done?  Absolutely, but only if your're willing to work long hours at late night and early morning, and only if you're willing to study your market and understand where the action is, and then committ to working those markets.  Committ to fighting the bar crowds, the congested streets, the aggrevation of irritated policeman directing traffic, the pukers and all the assoicated alcohol induced activities.

Yes, if you have a low investment cost vehicle that gets reasonable or better mileage in good repair, you can probably clear $1K a week after expenses - but ONLY if you're wiling to work 12 hour nights six days a week with either Sunday or Monday as your only day off.

Grossing $1k per week is absolutely possible in select cities if you run Uber and Lyft.  This week I made $432 Uber and $191 Lyft, and only spent 17 hrs in the car.  If I put in 30 hrs a week, I can almost guarantee $1k gross.

I an on the road 50 hours a week, and I have never cleared $1000.  Barely cleared $900 a few times.

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I am in Philly.

Neither have I, but I do know several individuals that do.  However they work 12 hour days (actually mostly nights) and they focus in the busiest areas, sporting events etc..

I'm just not willing to fight the crowds and traffic but tend to stay in the outlying areas and stay plenty busy, but I do miss out on the surges than happen.

        Cleveland/Akron, OH market here.

I work 6-7 hours a day [ in Pittsburgh, PA] and gross $100-$125  after driving expenses it is lots lower.  So to do the $1,000 per week you need a cheap to operate vehicle and put in 12 or more hours a day.

That we get paid the living wage?  Myth spread by Uber and Lyft.

They still have those billboards up in Philly that we make thousands a week.  Come on, now.

That we like talking with our passengers. Sure maybe some drivers do but definitely not all.
