If my vehicle is wrapped in an advertisement, can I still use this car for Uber X?
The Guru Take
Make your own judgement. "No commercial branding"
Since you are a contractor (you are your own business) and the fact that you own your car gives you some flexibiity. Here are few things you want to consider:
- Local laws - Whether you can have advertising on your car first needs to be checked with local lawes. Contact RMV for more details.
- Uber's vehicle requirement states that you are not allowed to have commercial branding on your vehicle. This includes advertising: "No commercial branding or taxi color paint jobs." This means if your entire car is wrapped in the words, "RedBull" and you have a gigantic can on the roof, it probably will not pass. Source: https://www.uber.com/drive/boston/vehicle-requirements/
Good luck!

I assume by the same token, you can't drive your taxis to drive for uber then.
I guess I can't drive my police car as an Uber ether then.
