Likelihood of a driver taking me to/from an airport that's 2 hours away?

Hi! this is a question for anyone to answer. I haven't used uber or lyft at all before, but I'm going on a 2 1/2 week vacation so I'm considering taking an uber/lyft to and from the airport. What is the likelihood that a driver will take us that far? Also, does anyone have any cons or bad experiences taking an uber/lyft to and from the airport?

Thank you.

MJ

Great question. As Chris mentioned it does partly depend on where you live but it is definitely doable! Check out this article that was just published today on taking Ubers for long distances for some key tips.

It kind of depends... Are you in a well populated area? I'm thinking if you are 2 hours from the airport you probably are not. So it might be a bit difficult. You could try to book the ride ahead (if Uber or Lyft offer that in your area) and see if a driver accepts it. But even then it's not guaranteed - the driver could always cancel at the last minute.

Overall you might be safer booking a traditional car service although it will cost more. But at least you can be assured that you have a ride then.
