Hi Drivers.
I am visiting memphis over Christmas from England with my son. I am really concerned firstly that no Uber cabs will be operating on those days 
- so can you confirm you do? and secondly what kind of rates can I expect from places like La Qunita Inn & Suites memphs airport hotel to Overton sqaure then onto the Zoo lights - Christmas day? any assistance will be greatl;y apreciated.
A dedicated uber driver woud be great if there is such a thing 
Also is there wifi in beale street as we will need picking up from there on Christmas Eve mid evening.

you shouldn't have trouble getting a ride on christmas day. for one thing, not everyone celebrates christmas. passengers will still need rides, and some uber drivers will still be working. maybe leave a little more time for the pickup just in case. good luck!
There will be Uber drivers working on Christmas. I guarantee it. The thing is, this is exactly what Uber's surge pricing is designed to ensure. If too few drivers are working, compared to the number of people looking for rides, Uber will enact surge pricing, which encourages more drivers to get out and drive. So Christmas could be a really lucrative day for drivers. BUT. If that happens, you may have to pay more due to the surge. So be prepared for that.
I am not sure about wifi on that street as I'm not from Memphis, but do you not have a phone with cellular data?
As for rates, try using RideGuru's calculator to see. It is hard to know what the surge might be that day, but you can experiment with the +/- arrows on the left to see how it would affect the price.
