Your dashcam needs to record video and audio inside the car. This is a sure-fire way to avoid being dinged for pax scams or complaints.
People, PLEASE do your research before buying anything. You can do infinitely better at a fraction of the cost by doing a quick google search and purchasing on Amazon, etc.
A cell phone mount and car charger are essential, as is a GOOD QUALITY dashcam. I don't, however, recommend an aux cord or air freshener. ("Do you have an aux cord so you have to listen to my shitty music in your car?" Answer: "Nope." PROBLEM SOLVED) Fragrances are also a bad idea, since a lot of people are allergic. Keep your car clean and avoid unnecessary fragrances
I think you are misunderstanding something. I think this is just a link to a page with recommendation to Amazon's product pages. I don't think they are selling a gift basket or this "uber kit" full of products.
To be honest, I first read it that way too. Like they are selling a box for $115 that includes everything. It looks like they are just adding up the prices of everything on the article.

I can't comment as I have never seen these reports, but I did read the TheRideshareGuy's recent book on how to drive. It was good and nicely summarized, but it would be basic even for a driver who's been driving for a few months. You learn so much by just driving. On the drive training.
Also, things change so much, with promotions and rules and the market.
I don't know seems like a ripoff to me. But maybe some people would do it.
Uberkit is a website. I think they sell driver training material, if I am not mistaken.
It's like documentation, textbooks, etc. It's like a hundred bucks. i guess newbie drivers may find it useful. I assume these businesses exist because Uber offers zero training. They are trying to capitalize on that.
