It depends on where you are traveling as not all rideshare companies cover every city. If you are traveling within the United States, you will most likely be in an area that is supported by Uber and Lyft.
As you are only two passengers, I think you would be fine ordering the standard Uber X or Lyft. Uber X and Lyft cars are normal sedan cars.
If you feel this would not be enough room for your luggage you can order the next size up (Mini Van or SUV) by requesting an Uber XL or Lyft Plus.
