What is the difference in fees you are seeing. Around me it always seems to be $4-$6 does it vary more for you?
OMG so terrifying but also hilarious lol Why do people not verify their drivers?! It astounds me that people still just get in random cars.
EEWW, don't remind me, I still get nervous ordering take out!
You can tell the name and let her give you the destination
It is an incentive program for Uber drivers, they have to hit a certain threshold of rides given and if they do they get a cash bonus. Uber just calls in "Quest" to try and get the drivers more excited about it.
Taxis are a luxury in NYC. I find the most people that take taxis are young, single, affluent folk. If you have a family then you probably wont, if you are poor then you cannot afford it, and if you are older you may take taxis but just not as much.
haha, though I guess you never know how big that campus is? It could be huge. I studied at RMIT in Melbourne and it spanned quite a bit of the city. Though we just used public transport instead of ordering ubers everywhere. I also know in Boston, BU students heavily use the green line to get to and from classes, so much that it always makes public transport in that area very congested. I guess there are problems with all public transport once too many people start using one system.
haha this is really great, got my laugh in for the day
I fell off one of those things over the summer and gashed my knee open. Everyone called me a klutz but I am now going to insist that the scooter had it out for me.
really 99.5% of people tip wait staff? I think that is too high. I was a waitress for many years and there are some a**holes out there
Im confused is minimum wage $15 or $17? Both seem really good!
and yet Richard Branson says space travel will be ready by Christmas 😜
You are such a talented writer! I could visualize every one of these situations as I was reading. Your depiction of the couple is SPOT ON. Keep writing.
I still don't get why people do grocery delivery. Don't you like to pick out your produce? See what new foods you can try? etc? I get it is a pain to go to the store sometimes but I wouldn't like a robot picking out my avocados.
WOW, though it is unfair to compare this to Lyft as Uber is GLOBAL.
They must have the tech too with Uber business and Uber health. Those platforms can hail multiple cars at once.
Good point - classic Glee situation with that mean bully from season 1, 2?
seeing how I am 5 foot 2 inches I would have never thought of this angle... Do drivers care if you get in the front?
Go Uber, this is the good stuff.
I totally disagree with this. Just open the windwos. Seriously, $100 for farting is ridiculous!
