I haven't used it yet, but sounds interesting. How does this benefit Lyft?
"Lyft, a company that makes almost all of its money through car trips, is redesigning its app in the hopes that people take fewer car trips. The new app, which is live today in every city where Lyft operates, will make it easier for customers to switch back and forth between different modes of travel like scooters, bike-share, public transit, and car rentals.
Right now, non-car options like bike-share and transit appear at the bottom of a list of “nearby” options on Lyft’s home screen, underneath saved destinations. With this redesign, they will appear as different “tabs” at the bottom of the screen. Tapping each tab brings up a different view of the map."

It's just the dysfunctional little sister following the evil empire. The big brother had it for a while, it's all in an effort to skirt the new AB5 law, make themselves look like a technology platform. Good luck!
Ohh interesting take! I thought it was all just some PR Ploy haha but trying to make themselves appear to be a "tech platform" for AB5 is 100% correct.
Well they have to try to make themselves look like that to skirt the ABC test. Good luck on that, not too many holes in that law. Or be an a-hole lime Tony West and tell the world that the driver isn't core part of their tech platform. Another UBER lawyer made that argument in 2017 in front of a N.Y. judge, this a an excerpt of that conversation. Priceless!
