This allows you and the other passengers to ride comfortably without feeling crowded. Uber will reimburse you the cost of the second seat as long as you write to let them know the second seat was for a service animal. 

Service animals are animals, and sometimes things can’t be helped. Cleaning fees will be incurred for animal shedding, but Uber will refund you this cost as long as you notify them you had a service animal instead of a pet. Uber will also waive the fee for the first and second instances of bodily fluids of a service animal needing to be cleaned out of a car. On the third instance, the rider will have to pay the fee.
