  For all the trouble that rowdy passengers can make, sometimes that can be preferable to the alternative.

  "One of the worst situations you can find yourself in as an Uber driver is when a bar over serves, calls an Uber for their nearly passed out patron and they put them in your backseat and tell you their home is loaded in as the destination," a Phoenix, Arizona driver said.    5 years ago in  Auto Off feature in newer cars when stopped.

  Like another poster said, the starting a car isn’t as intrusive when your engine is lined and warmed up.  When they say it’s tough on the car is when you start it when it’s cold and haven’t been driven for a while. 

  I suppose the spark plugs may wear out faster but it should be marginal and plugs are cheap
