Uber is Making Big Changes in California for Drivers! Is all this due to CA AB5?
I welcome these changes over the past month culminating with commission caps at 25%, showing destination, bringing the old surge …
😆 now that's an interesting topic. I had some pax in the car that smelled like a sewer pipe blew up, what we do through for 60 cents a mile.
The cities OP has mentioned are either working on regulations to tax FF boards or outright ban them. This could be DOA unless they take the Uber route. My concern is why wouldn't UBER and Lyft pay their drivers enough for them not to resort to turning their private cars into moving billboards via FF or 7-11s via Cargo. If you choose to put an FF Billboard on your car, you better make sure your car inspection is not coming up soon since U/L won't allow them to pass an inspection with them installed on the roof.
All the businesses Uber claims to disrupt support razor thin margins. They will not make money unless they raise their prices substantially. Here's my take.
https://ride.guru/content/newsroom/will-uber-ever-be-profitable
Are you an employee of FF? If so, can you address many concerns drivers who use your services have regarding cities starting to pass regulations banning these boards? Hope your margins are better than U/L.
Busy delivering? Can you really make money in that gig?
As things stand now, no they won't ever be profitable.
Yes I was, I'm trying my hardest getting the word out on the atrocities U/L are committing.
I'll take that as compliment?
😆 That's a month. 160 hours a month driving for $200, make your private vehicle look like a cab. It used to be more money, like all start-ups, high pay first then dwindle to nothing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for additional income for U/L drivers but some cities may have different ideas.

They're disallowing them in some cities like NY, SF possibly in LA, what's being done about that? I'm the senior contributor for RSG.
It's been less than two months and the stock has lost about 25% of its value. Has anyone heard of don't catch a falling knife? I'm not touching it with a ten foot pole.
😆, I texted you. You wanted to ask me a few questions, I'm free the rest of the afternoon.
IPO at 45
IPO at 72
It's been dine before by all technology companies like AMZN, FB, SNAP, NFLX etc. The difference here is Uber and Lyft don't have a plan to make them profitable and both are in a very low margin businesses. They can afford to lose money until they run out of cash which won't be for a while.
That's peanuts compared to what TK would spend with the boys on a night out between, booze, drugs and high end girls. They say those frat boys spend like drunken sailors.
Butthurt, 😆, hurting just started. Now they'll feel what the drivers felt for years.
Fight the good fight, let the chips fall where they may. It may be an interesting lawsuit though. I'm not dependent on their 60 cents a mile to feed my family.
I’m going to the Los Angeles city council meeting regarding rideshare in LA tomorrow morning but I’ll text or call you on my way back, sometime in the afternoon your time. No worries, there’s still 24 hours in a day.
