Uber commissions capped at 25%, no upfront pricing, exact destination on each trip before accepting a ride, old surge multiplier is back, no AR restrictions etc.

Uber is Making Big Changes in California for Drivers! Is all this due to CA AB5?
I welcome these changes over the past month culminating with commission caps at 25%, showing destination, bringing the old surge …
Well, I hope you too your drivers as much as you too your bartender or valet, otherwise, 1*?
They're supposed to be 50% less than human driven cars remember? That's how U/L will ever make money according to them.
Not happening for a good decade or more.
If you post crap like that, you will 😆 I think in all honesty the poster meant 67.50 a month as a driver instead of 675k a month income, UBER driver equaling a neurosurgeon. 😆
Could have been worse, GTFO and 1*? J/K 😆
Bravo, couldn't have said it better myself. There are three groups of people happy about this. Top execs of both UBER and Lyft, early VC investors who walked away with 10000% returns and the passenger who's living in a subsidized fantasy land.
The loser, the DRIVERS!
I did it In Vegas on Lyft, it took me twice as long to go a mile, 😆 and my heart was in my mouth.
Social responsibility is not on these people's agenda, the only thing they want is disruption and billions.
Yep, thank you. Netflix also comes to mind, started at 7.99 now I think for multiple devices it's at 12.99
Nope not unlimited, 5% discount on car rides, 30 minutes of free time a day in Jump bikes and scooters and one free Ubereats delivery a day, nothing unlimited.
Imagine if they did that with their code writing engineers, without warning cut their salaries by 25%. This gig is dying if not dead already.
I wish they did adjust, UBER cut the driver rates in Los Angeles by 25% in March 2019 and gas prices went from $3 to $4+ a gallon since the start of the year.
I tried it In Vegas, it's an Aptiv car on the Lyft platform, it took me twice as long to drive a mile and cost 10 dollars, 3 more than a regular Lyft. They're also evidenced, they can only go on a straight line between two designated spots.
Thank you for your interest
Just like signing up to a gym membership after a new year's resolution. 😆
Here are the two app notifications they sent, you'll be the judge. AB5 has nothing in it fir flexibility.
I wish I got a dollar for every time I heard, I'll tip you in the app. 😆
Driver makes $3.75 on a cancellation after waiting 5 minutes for you to get in the car. Be ready to go, no problems. Trust me, they rather give you the ride than cancel. They drove at least 5 minutes to pick you up.
Losing? I think that happened a few years ago, now they're trying to keep what they have left. 😆
Netted? Or grossed? $140 net would be $200 gross.
Most start because they fall prey to Uber's marketing tactics promising tons of money. They got sued and ended up settling for deceptive marketing claims.
You get 30 minutes a day free scooter and e-bike rides 😆
24.99 a month, gets you surge protection, 5% off rides, one free UBER eats delivery a day and 30 minute free scooter or bike ride. Basically, trying to keep you in their platform.
