Do you think the changes implemented in CA by Uber should go nationwide?

Uber commissions capped at 25%, no upfront pricing, exact destination on each trip before accepting a ride, old surge multiplier is back, no AR restrictions etc.

Uber is Making Big Changes in California for Drivers! Is all this due to CA AB5?
I welcome these changes over the past month culminating with commission caps at 25%, showing destination, bringing the old surge …
Now if you have video of that, that has viral written all over it.
😆😂😂😆
Working on how to cut the driver's pay by lowering miles/minute rates, cutting or eliminating quests, boost zones, eliminating surge, flat rate surge, upfront pricing etc.
Maybe they all will become UBER drivers now. 😆
Marketing department is in charge of all the driver and rider bonuses, I guess subsidized fantasy land is coming to an end. Welcome the the driver's world.
That's why they get paid the big bucks. 😆 I see 400 new UBER driver applications, I wonder if I can give them my referral code for signing up. 😆😂
In Los Angeles drivers get paid 60 cents a mile and 21 cents a minute, I can't believe a bike costs more than a car with a driver. That goes to show how underpaid drivers are.
I guess things are different when you own the underlying asset. Welcome to the driver's world UBER.
You'd be surprised hiw many Uber drivers fall for it, especially the newbies.
Contact UBER? Good luck on that and tell them what? I just lost my monopoly in the town? For Uber fresh meat is always welcome.
They're a lost ship, those 400 were probably the ones responsible for the new UBER driver app logo. 😆
They announced it with huge fanfare on the app.
Wasn't sure but I took the $55, last year that ride would be $80
Remember Forest Gump? Stupid is Stupid does!
I think it's a higher number, taking a few fries here and eating a rib off a full slab, no one will miss anything. 😆
I was looking at the cell phone on the dash, it doesn't look anything like the U/L app. But this guy got 400k likes on Twitter. Go figure.
It is especially how your business is going to get affected with the new driver in town. One cab and now two Ubers serving a community of 20k people is a monopoly. 😆
😆, are you admitting that you took a bite? They don't tip because instead of getting of their butts, they pay double for a cold Big Mac and fries with delivery fees.
You have a monopoly, wow. 😆 Uber can't have one but you do. It's an amazing story, do you drive for both platforms? I should interview you for an article, I'm serious, I write for the most well known blog in the country RSG and Rideguru.
Good tip, that's about the only thing that would secure a complete delivery, imagine ordering Starbucks or ice cream? 😆
Surge pricing? 😆 you would think two or three pax ordering rides would create a 4x surge, now with two drivers surge is gone.
Agree with all of it but unfortunately most drivers don't put any brainpower into the gig.
I read the OP, being the only driver in a town is crazy. How small is this town? Legally, I'm not sure there's much you can do as long as she's on public property. Ethically, it's wrong but she'll probably eat into your pings since Uber will feed the newbies the sugar to get them going, they'll turn it down after a month or two. If you think 2 drivers is oversaturated, come to Los Angeles where there are 8 cars on each corner on each platform.
