  You will need to book a taxi or black car service in order to talk to the driver before booking. Uber doesn't allow this. You could also book the Uber car and then message the driver and tell them your situation and if they cannot help you, you could cancel?

  Interesting, if you were to ask me to make a list of "hip companies" to work for Uber would not make my list either. It definitely would have in the past. I am not sure when the switch occured? This past year, 2 years ago? But it definitely gives off a big company, blah vibe now.

   5 years ago in  Are there unspoken rules about riding on an Uber or Lyft (or any other rideshares for that matter)?

  Not sure if these are unspoken but don't eat or wear any super strong scents. Be at your pickup time ON TIME. Don't ask the driver to change a million things, temperature, music, etc. It is ok if you are hot or have one request but don't bombard them!

  Isn't the business reimbursement rate like $0.58 per mile or something like that?! How can their per mile rate be so much lower than that!! That is the country standard for 'breaking even' when you consider wear and tear on your car, gas, etc!!

  Maybe I just don't get it but what can a union do for IC drivers? I mean there are always more random people who are willing to drive for Uber/Lyft. I just don't see how this would be very successful.
