Top cities by spending per month on rideshares
These numbers all seem low to me, LOL. Maybe I'm an uber addict. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/11/how-much-americans-spend-on-uber-and-lyft.html -
Get ready to be forced to watch ads in your Uber
This oughtta be fun. Thousands of Uber and Lyft cars will be outfitted with video-ad screens that cannot be turned … -
Self-driving taxis could be up to 80% cheaper than today's rideshares
I'm a little skeptical companies would go that low, but maybe if there is enough competition this could actually happen. … -
Uber settles with Waymo for $245M
That's 0.34% of Uber's equity. That really puts Uber's valuation in perspective... https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/09/uber-settles-lawsuit-with-waymo/
So he can drive you to his secret shed in the woods and hold you captive for 15 years.
Just sayin.
In some cities this makes sense. But in cities that have decent public transportation options I can't see how this is much easier. For instance in NYC the subway is ridiculously convenient, I can't imagine peope using this service when you could probably walk a block and be at the subway and not have to sit in traffic.
I would try Uber. Once you get to the station there should be plenty nearby, just use the app once you get there.
Seems crazy to me. Put your kid in some random stranger's car? No way. Crazy.
Waste of a perfectly good roadster. Oh well. maybe the aliens can take it for a spin.
That's kind of a bummer. What about those stories you hear of some rich guy tipping his waitress $5K. Guess that's not going to happen.
So Uber's trying to become a taxi company now huh. Maybe the local governments should give out medallions for the right to operate an AV.
People just use whatever they are used to. It's hard to get people to change.
The problem is these employees have this power in the first place. You can't expect an average joe employee to simply not use whatever power he/she has.
