I was just thinking about this last night. I got in the car and my driver offered me candy.... and I took it.... and ate it. Then I worried the rest of the night that I was poisoned...

Why would the driver want to poison you? That's just weird. Maybe you aren't as special as you may think.

So he can drive you to his secret shed in the woods and hold you captive for 15 years.

        Just sayin.

Wait, are you saying it'd be laced with drugs to knock you out?  Oh, jeez, maybe I am too naive.

There are sickos out there. It may not be real poison but...you know. Something sick. Like rubbing the candy somewhere and watching you eat it. Sickos get off that stuff.  So I heard. LOL

Reminds me of the razor blade in apples on a Halloween story.

This reminds me of the Cargo, a startup that just got some funding.  They provide rideshare drivers a way to sell candies and stuff ont heir dash.

No, I have no idea how legal this is.  Selling food and stuff?

YAASSS. Getting in an unmarked car with a complete stranger who knows your name, where you live and has your phone number.

They don't have your phone number.

All communication by voice or SMS between driver and passenger goes through Uber's phone switchboard.

In the switchboard, real numbers are hidden and Uber assigns a temporary number that only lasts from the time your ride request is accepted until you depart the vehicle.

Try it some time . . . Write down the drivers number and call 10 minutes after the ride is over. It won't work.

And if you are worried about the driver having your address walk a half block or go around the corner before requesting a pickup.

      But don't take any candy . . .

        Good info.

Here's the more important question though.  Did you actually try it. LOL

How do you kick someone out of a Lyft? Is there a button or something on the driver app.
