I know DIA is strict with car capacity, but this is a huge blow as well as a very disheartening trend for taxi drivers in Denver.

"And DIA is responding by cutting the number of taxi cabs it will allow to linger at the airport, waiting to pick up passengers, in any 24-hour period."

Natural course of things.  Taxis are trailing long lines clogging up DIA, while no one even gets in line for them.

That's unfortunate the government said allowing rideshares at DIA won't impact for them.  Obviously the market decides which mode of transportation people would take.

So DIA is responding to cut the # of taxis to linger.  So what about them Ubers?  They cannot be told NOT to come to the airport, huh? because they are normal people.

so what this comes down to is that DIA can biully taxi drivers but they can't uber drivers.  imagine that.  so sad.

The DIA is in middle of nowhere. I wonder where all the Uber cars wait?  In cell phone lots?

The problem about DIA is that its in midde of nowhere, and cabs end up costing so much as they charge by distance.  UberX undermined them completely.  Fractions of price, and it seems everyone in Denver drives SUV, so they have plenty of cargo space.

Not to mention how the rental cars are horrible at DIA.  You have to take a shuttle and it takes hours to get your car.

and on top of that, paying for tolls in Denver is so weird.
