I feel like I should be able to customize it?

You used to be able to. No more.

Unfortunately, the personal invite code can no longer be customized by the end users, regardless of whether you are a driver or a rider.  Uber stopped supporting this functionality a few years ago.  Sorry!

If you feel very strongly about it, you can contact Uber Support, but don't hold your breath.

Lastly, if you sign up as an official partner or as an "ambassador", you may be granted an ability to change or create your own code.
