I have a new kitty cat. and I love him very much. I brought him home on an Uber, and he didn't seem to mind at all. In fact the driver was super nice.
...then I thought. Was that allowed? He weighs like a pound and was in a carrier.

Here's a post on this topic:
"Both Uber and Lyft let the decision to allow dogs in their cars rest with the drivers. This means that some drivers may decline you while others would be happy to oblige to your dog-friendly ride request. As Uber drivers use their personal cars to pick up passengers, you'll want to assure them that your pup will be on its best behavior! We have outlined the top 5 ways to make sure your pet-friendly Uber ride goes without any mishaps."

So, Cas, your kitty is most likely ok, and this is even more true with the pet carrier.

Is there a way in the app to let the driver know that you would like to bring a pet on the ride (mine is a smallish dog but no carrier) so that the driver knows you want to bring a dog before "accepting" the fare?
This is an excellent idea. I mean, why not? The recent chat feature may help a little.
In DC, there are so many Ubers now. like for children's carriages and carseats. I have to swipe so many times to get through the options. I guess why not add a Pet on there. LOL.
I haven't heard of anything like that yet. Some services are starting to offer checkboxes for needing carseats and such, but I haven't heard one for pets. Anyone?
However, there is an Uber for dogs. LOL.
OK! Thanks! Relieved to hear.
