Hi there ,
We are planning to get transferred 4 people from one to another airport in NY, USA.
We have got 3 normal size laggages and 3 aircabin suitcases .
Should we get UBER X ( 4 people ) or UBER XL ( 6 people) car ??

If you have 4 people with 3 check-ins (pieces of luggage) and 3 carry-ons, it may be too tight for an UberX. Since you have 4 people that takes up every seat, that will only leave the trunk for your luggage.

To be safe, we recommend requesting an UberXL, where you are likely to get an SUV with plenty of room.

UberX can get you various cars depending on who is around and who accepts. In one request, you may get a Focus or a Prius (i.e. small cabin) but in another you may get a Toyota Camry and Honda Accord (i.e. larger trunks).
This practice may be frowned upon, but maybe try it once or twice as it won't harm anyone. You could potentially call an UberX and see what kind of car you get hooked up with. If it's a small car, simply cancel. (Do it within 2 minutes or there may be fees.) If it's big, you might have gotten lucky. You can also call the driver and see how he or she fees about your luggage situation.
Don't try this too many times though. If you cancel too many times in a row, you will be triggered the cancellation fee.
If you are worried about the space, think outside the box and try:
Airport Transfer Services: You'd think they'd be expensive but when compared against UberXL, they aren't that bad.
Taxis - Minivans: Their price is the same as regular taxis! You just have to ask at the queue.
