Depends on the size of your suitcases. Make sure to order the right sized vehicle.
Uber and Lyft's regular services (e.g. UberX, UberBlack, Lyft, etc.) will dispatch you a four-door sedan, and they are desigend to transport up to 4 passengers. If you called one of these, you would be limited to the trunk to stow all of your luggage. If you feel the trunk is enough, you may be able to get away with it. (Remember that vehicles approved for UberBlack tend to be larger than the ones often used for UberX.)
Our recommendation, however, is for you to order an SUV. This would be under UberSUV, UberXL, Lyft Plus, etc. They are designed to hold 6 or more passengers. Here's an example list of cars that may show up when you request a SUV.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing as I read this. UberX with 4 suitcases? We must be talking at least a carry on or a suitcase on each person's lap. Definitely not safe, and how would I even see out the windows.
I have run into situations where I did drive with full cargo. Honestly, I didn't know what to say and felt bad to say no. So far, I am thankful that I haven't had four-bags four-passenger requests. I guess people are generally pretty smart.
no they aren't. I mean, they might be smart, but they are cheap. Everyone wants to save money. The price differential for UberX and SUV are pretty big. That's big bucks to carry those extra suitcases.
I have seen people who order UberX and hope a larger car would show up. I seriously suspected people who kept ordering and cancelling until they got an SUV (i.e. free "upgrade" as Uber calls it). Messed up, right?
