I never thought the economics ever made sense for renting a car. The rideshare economy makes sense only beecause you already own or lease your car for a daily living. This is America where 99% of the people must have a car to get around. I am not saying it's only for passive income, but having the ability to make money off of the car you already own is the most attractive proposition of working for Uber, IMO.
Oooh, I love conspiracy theories.
CONSPIRACY!
well, that'd be nice if we could get more rides like that. but why would uber do that? just so their rental customers are successful?
I don't think they are banking revenue on renting cars, right? They just want more access to a bigger pool of drivers. They have to keep either party (rentals and non-rentals) happy.
Whenever there is a slight conflict of interest, people come p with conspiracy theories. Can we just stop?
We must keep challenging these things or evil will take over the world.
People thought it was a conspiracy theory that Uber bribes city officials, and look what we found out this mornig.
