No, actually in NYC, Lyft is cheaper than Juno. See the below current rates for each service and you will see that Lyft's rates are cheaper than Junos.
Juno
Initial charge: 2.55
Per Mile charge: 1.75
Per Hour charge: 21
Minimum charge: 8
Lyft
Initial charge: 2.29
Per Mile charge: 1.58
Per Hour charge: 19.2
Minimum charge: 7.19
Of course, you always need to be careful of surge pricing. (Juno calls it high demand pricing and Lyft calls it prime time pricing). At any moment one of these companies could have their surge pricing enacted making the other company cheaper.
