I totally saw it. The guy wasn't even embarassed when I caught him doing it and I pointed it out.
Is this a thing? I guess it's smart? i wasn't even mad.

Yeah, this is a thing. One thing is that all drivers use multiple rideshare services to make sure they have the most coverage, i.e. access to passengers. More rides and less time waiting the better.
All drivers carry multiple apps and now riders are starting to use multiple apps. Is this really all necessary? It's starting to feel this cat and mouse game is just becoming...rather convoluted.
I've seen my drivers check their "other apps" looking for their next rides. They are trying to minimize downtime, so they are trying to look for their next passenger. It makes sense to me. They can't do that if only using one app.
Actually, they can. Uber allows you to accept and book a ride if you are close to finishing up a ride. Neat, eh?
I can confirm this. I am not a driver, but I have seen upon requesting a ride that the "driver is finishing up a ride. It may take a few more minutes." At first i was like wtf, but it now happens so often i dont care
Well, I see it too, but I think it's bs
