Uber has a tip limit? That's news to drivers
Did you guys know that there is a limit as to how much a rider can tip?! "Uber confirmed to … -
Is it true if the driver gets stuck with a short ride from the airport, he can go back and skip the queue?
I live in Malden and it's not a long trip from the airport. I was apologizing to my driver (hey … -
Can I (the driver) be deactivated or lose Uber account for having a low acceptance rate?
This heavily depends on the state law. For one, whether the belts are required in the backseat. For two, whether the drivers are responsible for it.
This wouldn't work anyways. There is a limit to how much you can tip at a time. Even the custom field has a limit, and it isn't high.
Why is everyone keep talking about how the IPO is so iminent. Is that really true.
That would be a gender discrimination, and the company should be dinged for it.
Unless, of course, men aren't applying. I am sure that does happen, beause I'd like to think women have more patience with kids and are better with kids. No, I am not being sexist here.
Technically I don't think it's legal to run a retail business out of your car. There are laws and rules against this. CarGo people definitely know this but they are proceeding as the "market disruptor", the motto Uber used to destroy every rule in the book.
Amen.
The payment is easy. Just use cash or square. No problem.
Reselling may be illegal? Are there health requirements and stuff you need to clear when selling food?
We have to admit as a society that we tip out of guilty than a kind heart. Bleh. It's like how you want to be seen when stuffing a dollar into the tip jar at Starbucks. You'd hate it if the workers didn't see it, you know?
That's why they say, "I will tip". To save safe.
Sad, I know.
There goes the iconic Black Cabs. so sad to see them disappear from the London landscape.
Something really don't want to ride this thing. i know helcopters already exist, but no, I don't want to ride them either. just don't trust it.
and with no driver to operate it? GOsh, that is just too scary for me. I hope this future doesn't come too soon.
Everyone, calm the F down. This UberAir has been in the talks for a number of years (initially as a theoreticaly whitepaper) and the first test market will be Dubai. ...and this is on NY Post. Catch the flow?
LOL $100 and hour. It'll be tax deductible at least. Actually I have no idea.
This reminds me of the test surge of 50X they ran in another city.
I can confirm this. I am not a driver, but I have seen upon requesting a ride that the "driver is finishing up a ride. It may take a few more minutes." At first i was like wtf, but it now happens so often i dont care
hold on a sec. the math is off. of course there are more Uber transactions than rental car transactions. With Avis, you book ONE for the whole trip. With Uber, you book one for every leg. I don't know, man. Fake news.
I honestly thought they were Uber on ZipCars.
Maybe for discounts?
Maybe for fastfood takeouts?
i mean, there definitely are times when you think about roundtrips.
Don't these people have private drivers? ...or is this a ploy to appear normal and relatable to regular people? I am sure Kim didn't drive her around all over. this is ridiculous.
Dropping the pin outside of the surge zone?! Wow, genius.
Let's start taking bets on when they will sell off this business like their stupid leasing company.
or too ugly?
Do you mean discovering that the person is black?
