Uber introduced Beacon, a new light that attaches to a driver's windscreen and displays a color that you specify in the app so you can easily find your ride, especially in the dark. This is such a cool way to make sure you are getting into the right Uber, and will certainly save a lot of time! Beacon is currently in the trial phases as of now but hoping it will come to more cities soon!

The title of this article is misleading.  With so many Ubers I can't tell which one is mine.

I don't think I have a trouble determining which car iy Uber or not.  It's telling which Uber is mine!!  Think NYC.  Think in front of a bar!

I don't see anything confusing about the title.  It isn't misleading, is it?  The passenger (to be) can light up the light on an upcoming Uber in any color they'd like.  It's genius.

The cool thing about it though is that you pick the color you want your Uber light to display through your Uber app, and it will show up that color. As opposed to it just being a general white light for all Ubers, which could definitely get confusing.

No way!! That is super cool.

It's apparently not that popular though. I haven't seen them yet and I ubered like 5 times in the past week.

It's currently in testing phases in a few cities across the US, hopefully it will be everywhere soon!

Obvously a copy of Lyft's recent move.  Love it though.  I think those things do help.

They are lit up now?  Well, why not put them on top of roofs.  Maybe display the car # and can turn it on or off depending on whether they are picking up?

      ...oh, wait...
