I'll be nice and let you check it out first:) Not only do we have to worry that the pilots are not criminals that could take its riders to a deserted island, rape them, hunt them, and use them for fish food. We also have to worry they are safe, can actually fly a plane because lets face it in todays world you can fake documents:) Another big concern is if the pilots are from NY do they fly like they drive? Lets face it NY drivers are awful!!! Other concerns are a helicopter crashed in NY a few months ago.
Are they clean, do they smell good, does the pilot talk too much, will he/she let you play your own music (do they have an aux cord), will they mind making stops dropping off my 4 friends who are only a block away? Can we bring 5 people even though it may only fit 4, do kids need to bring car seats, can you pick them up even though they are 15 yrs old? Do they have water and snacks? I would not want to be a pilot flying for Uber. A few good things riders (flyers) cant say you blew…

We know riders that dont even have a drivers license or drunk riders all seem to be 100% great backseat drivers. Hopefully they carry air sickness bags:) Wonder how much that cost if you throw up on a helicopter ride. Uber cant keep drivers lets see hiw they do with Pilots. Lol This paragraph obviously I am joking:)
Would be nice to hear from someone who takes one though. Wonder what rates are? Guess i should read article to see if they are posted.

haha yep, this was all the dialogue running through my head as well! If they hire pilots as easily as they hire drivers they are bound to have some crazies! I would never put my life in the hands of some random pilot who barely had a background check! Plus by the time you get a car to the heli pad, take the helicopter, then take a car to the airport I highly doubt it will be much quicker...
Also, do you have to wait for all your other rides like Uber pool? haha
Luckily the homeless man walking on the street cannot just go in and get a pilot's license, like the average driver on the road can. To fly for "compensation or hire", be it a helicopter or an airplane, one has to have an FAA certified commercial pilot's license, which costs $60,000 to $90,000 to obtain, depending on school, training, and flying aptitude (and takes on average 2 years). So NO, the average Joe off the street is not going to be anywhere near the pilot's seat of one of these, REGARDLESS OF WHAT UBER WANTS!!
Can you click "pilot dont talk to me" or "make sure its 68 degrees when I get in". Oh wait thats an extra $50 for Uber's pocket nothing for the driver. Lol
They better have only Perrier Sparkling Water and Cadbury Eggs for their riders or I am not giving them 5 stars!
😂
That's like UberPool in the sky, still from start to finish not a quicker way to travel than a cab
Ya I have read that it actually takes longer - dumb millennials.
They still have to Uber to the Helicopter and Uber after they get off. Seems like it doesnt save time either. They are getting desperate to make money. Dara is going to start Uber Hookers or Uber RV next.
Did you see where they started a Pilot where riders can audio our conversations with them to send to Uber? Different states have different laws. Rider would have to tell us they are recording but not all states. Its going to come down to drivers not saying a word to riders other than Hello and goodbye. If we use the wrong pronoun we will be deactivated because they have us on a recording. This is just getting utterly ridiculous. All because Uber and Lyft dont use better background checks or let drivers with records slip through the cracks we all have to suffer for their mistakes.
I have decided to block all rideshare from my news feeds, stay off You Tube (music only on you tube), and all ready opted out of a few rideshare FB groups. I have so had it. It's annoying…

It's annoying, ridiculous, and too negative. Ill call it quits when I start making under $20 per hr after expenses. All the other BS dont matter. No one knows how all this will play out other than maybe the drivers getting screwed even more.

Not really for “everyone.” It’s for everyone who has money.
