Good for drivers too. The drivers make the most money in San Francisco where the competition is the fiercest.

Look at how secret Didi kept the Mexico involvement. I assume Didi is already hiring and working on landing on the shores of USA.
Of course, they may need to figure out some of the conflict of interests that may arise while expanding into America. For example, LYFT. They own a big chunk and have had partnership with them. So what happens now?
Didi Chuxing can buy Lyft for its US expansion.
and Curb/Flywheel type service. and Limos.com or something.
What people forget is that Didi Chuxing is a lot more than rideshares and Uber-like services. They are the dispatching system for all taxis, limos, and other modes of transportation. It isn't just Uber.
So Lyft will only be a small portion of their business. They'd still have to figure out the tax portion, hence they should also buy Curb or other dispatching networks.
They already own a significant portion, so why not.
What is Didi Chuxing?
It is the Uber of China and it is huge! It just expanded into Mexico.

I bet it's soon. Them expanding into Mexico is a declaration of war against Uber. Mexico is a stronghold for US, and the business model and marketing approach are similar. It's obviously Didi's way of preparing for opening a store in the USA
Who all thinks Uber is shaking just a little bit on the inside? Oh wait, the high levels of male testosterone coursing through that company is probably keeping them perfectly at ease with their sham of a company.
Ohh burn.
Between DIDI and Uber, my bet is on DIDI. soon Uber will be a name of the past and we will all be talking about DIDI-ing to the club.
DIDI-ing LOL, it has a nice ring to it...
I have used DIDI before on my trip and I have to say I like it better than Uber. I bet they can pull off taking over the US market.
I don't understand why people claim one service better than another. It's all the same drivers. There are no differences at all. Maybe the approach on conflict resolutions, but Uber really ramped up on that recently.
Didi will face the same challenges in the US. Price or customer service and conflicts.
