Got Uber Pro in my market on August 1st. Really dont want it, dont need it, and does nothing for us. After declining 3 rides Uber takes you offline but you just had to click to go back on. If its a real busy area they dont knock you offline until you decline 5/7 request. Three days after getting Pro, Uber is now sending a warning after 2 declined requests. You must take next request or you will be logged out. I declined a request the same request pinged me again which if I declined it the 1st time I am not accepting it the 2nd time. I get the message that I need to accept the next request. Request comes in 12 min away rider rating 4.37 at 1145pm. No thank you. I got logged out. Instead of clicking "log on" I now have to put my password in. Password is long because I was hacked. It's not safe to be texting & driving and not safe to pull over on the shoulder either. If Uber does this to 10 cars in the same area isnt that causing the riders to have to wait longer? Also what happened to being an IC? Uber lost in court that we could not be forced to accept a ride request. Here they are forcing us to accept ride request or be logged off, text while driving, or pull over on the side of the road. As much as I hate politicians stepping in something needs to be done. These companies are getting away with so much BS. Women are being sexually harassed by drivers, drivers are being held at gunpoint, stabbed, shot, and abused by passengers. WTH will it take to make these companies accountable? I am starting to believe AB5 may be a good thing. Things need to change. It just may be time to head back to a traditional job. Sucks when you like what your doing, fits …

UberPro is nothing more than a ploy to trick drivers into accepting more rides and boosting their acceptance rates. Outside of seeing direction of the ride requests, (which is useless if you have to accept the ride anyway to keep that benefit) the program is useless. Unfortunately, way too many ants chase that magical status that gives them nothing except worse rated passengers, short trips and more pool rides.
When I neared the 600 point threshold for gold qualification, I turned off the Uber app and stuck with Lyft until after the end of the qualification period. Count me as a proud blue level driver who doesn't get the annoying messages, etc anymore.
Agreed RedAnt have been dreading it since they started Beta here. I just dont like getting logged out every 2 rides to have to put my password in. Guess I am going to make a much shorter password. There isnt one benefit to that program. My acceptance rate will keep me from leveling up:) We only need 300 for gold. In 6 days I have 28 points so thankfully Ill never level up. If you dont level up they will stop bothering you with it? Uber gives me how many min after 40 I can usually figure out where I am going to end up by that 90% of the time. I only take 40 + min trips the majority of the time. Whenever Uber or Lyft offers something "beneficial" you know you are getting screwed:)
Congratulations, one of the few drivers who figured out that UBER pro is useless. It was good when they offered a 6% bump on pay for the highest tier, then in a couple of weeks they took it away.

I dont live in CA didnt like the Bill but now I am all for it. Someone needs to stop these @$$ho!e$. They get away with too much. Dara K on a big power trip. Thinks no one can touch him. Someone needs to knock him off his pedestal he put himself on.
AB5 is the only deterrant these animals have, they've gone way too far.
I love how Uber and Lyft implement these changes but try to make them sound like a good thing - "Uber Pro" more like "Big Brother Uber"
Anytime either of those evil idiots say it for the "drivers benefit" you just wait for the axe to fall. They are desipicable.
