What happens if the driver forgets to turn his driver app off or "go offline"?

This has to have happened already.  Perhaps numerous times.  Would you get dinged hard?  Perhaps engage in an infinite loop where a customer near by would continue to be matched up and never get a driver to respond?

That can't happen since after 3 missed requests, Uber and Lyft turn it off for you. You'll just get a nastygram from U/L that you're missing a lot of requests. No big deal.

The app turns off after 3 declined (ignored) requests?  Neat.

Actually, is there a difference between ignoring a request (letting it timeout) and declining a request?

What's on neet about them turning my app off I'm supposed to be an independent contractor only employers do that kind of stuff.

There is no difference between the three ignoring declining or timing out of ping. All the same.

I've done it like the others said it logs me off after 3 missed pings. One night it did stay on for 3/4 hrs guess I didnt get 3 pings. When it did finally pinged I jumped up and grsbbed my phone accidentally accepting the ride. That was a WTH moment. I was so confused as to why I was in bed accepting request. Obviously when I became more awake, realized what I did I cancelled.
