Uber drivers are always on the go, literally. Their job is to drive around and help people get to their destinations quickly and safely. With any job, questions always come up. Unfortunately for Uber drivers, Uber can be very difficult to get ahold of when you have a question or issue.
Uber does have in app support and a dedicated hotline just for drivers but these two routes don’t always do the trick. Sometimes the best way to get help is in person, which is why Uber also offers Greenlight Hubs. The hubs offer in person support to drivers at offices across the country.
Uber’s Greenlight Hubs are a combination of a help desk and DMV, created to help drivers through a mirage of obstacles. These offices may be a variety of sizes. Depending on location they may be large with several reps known as “hubs.” They may also be small and kiosk like known as “spots.” Location and need dictate what the Greenlight center will look like and how it will function. Drivers can find help at the Greenlight hubs for anything from setting up direct deposit, vehicle requirements, background checks, and boosting your earnings.
A big benefit of a Greenlight rep is you can discuss your problems in person rather than relying on over the phone conversations, which can be very frustrating. In some locations, the Greenlight Hub may also be a spot for where drivers can go for their vehicle inspection. The hours vary depending on the location of the hub (see below), and there are now dozens open all over the United States. You can find them in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, L.A., New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and more.
