We get a lot of searches and questions on RideGuru pertaining to rideshares. Most are your standard questions such as the difference between Uber X and XL or how much a ride will cost in NYC but every so often we get some absolute gems! To brighten up your Wednesday hump day we wanted to share our the most unique searches that have been completed on RideGuru. Enjoy!
Around 3:00am on Halloween night someone searched “I need something cheap I only have 17 bucks and I am stranded”. Has this person not heard of automatic payment for almost all rideshare apps?!
In late November one person simply searched for “Jump Start”, over and over and over again. Maybe he thought RideGuru was AAA…
On 10/16 an anonymous user searched for “Smoke”. What was he trying to tell us?! Was his car on fire?! Let’s hope he did not mistake us for the fire department.
We are willing to be that the first rideshare company to include toilets in their cars will be a big hit. When you gotta go, you gotta go!
"May I request a Gay uber driver”, was asked on our site multiple times this year. Maybe this will be Uber’s next service? Uber Hookup.
On a Friday night at 12:56AM, one rider simply searched for “fun”. We hope he found it.
We get it, rideshares can be confusing to those who have only ever used taxis but we never thought we would see Rideshares mistaken for Timeshares when someone asked us “Is it hard to find a timeshare at 6:00am".
