Yeah, this is actually a thing.
Drivers do this when they don't like you. Some drivers mentioned in this thread that for annoying customers whom they plan to cancel, they would drive by and see if they can get a no-show fee.
Why do they feel the need to do this? They don’t even know how to make money with the current business model and now they are stepping into a brand new unknown.
LOL - being completely naked in public is illegal in the USA! I don't think the driver has to take you anywhere if you are breaking the law!
The whole scooter thing is completely lawless. There are no road rules for them and I can see this becoming a Wild Wild West, if it already isn’t?
I wouldn’t even know how they would determine fault if a car crashes into them or vice versa. Traditional conversations go straight out the window.
Do the scooter riders even have to follow the auto traffic laws?
Excellent points. The precedence will be huge.
And it isn’t illegal. Come on.
Well, in a big city, they are all bicycle riders. Have you ordered DoorDash in Manhattan?
Douchest thing I've ever seen.
At least this guy died doing what he loves. Sort of epic.
For what? Logan Paul a blogger makes 10s of million posting stupid videos. Kids want to become snapchat celebrities not star athletes anymore.
The concept already exists in the form of Chinese and Pizza delivery. So the finances and the model must work.
The problem as I see it? It's the downtime for the drivers. The time between the deliveries that will kill them.
funny. but she did ask if he were at the *main* entrance. There could have been a back entrance or something.
Being lost, making you late, and ending up charging you are not necessarily qualities of male drivers. That can happen with anyone. A sexist person may say it'd happen more with females as they get lost easier. (I didn't say it. I am a sexist person would. Ha!)
I feel like there must be more to this story. The kid looks perfectly capaleble of taking an Uber and he had his phone with him. What was he doing for 2 hours? Why didn't he call or say anything?
It's automatic. Uber charges your credit card. You have to do nothing.
Do not pay the driver cash, no matter what you do. There's a scam around that.
Yeah, it was the version of Uber app where there was a slider at the bottom of the screen to choose the vehicle type. You could have tapped the car service there, and you could request one immediately. The next screen was where you entered your own location.
I remember taking Uber like a taxicab. Just hop in, and THEN I tell the destination.
Why would the driver make up a passenger? He wouldn't get paid unless he drives. Shouldn't he just drive a passenger and be paid unconteted than drive an empty cab?

My driver told me he gets lots of texts from people telling him to hurry up (upon pickup). Is this really true?
The opener is immediately the best. LOL
"I lived in Mowcow and my family moved to the Boston area when I was 7. You know they lied to me. They said we are going on vacation. They didn't tell me I wasn't coming back."
Passengers even care less about their own ratings.
My guess is that great majority doesn't even know that drivers rate passengers too. LOL.
Is Hyperloop or FLying vehicles rideshares?
Arg. that is true. Something like 50% of Uber drivers quit after one year, but they are quitting for other reasons. not because they found another company to drive for.
yeah, there's soemthing off about this delivery.
