Can I ask the the Uber driver not to accept anymore riders on an UberPool? (or LyftLine)
My friend told me some drivers would be happy to do this, because they still get paid the same amount, … -
What exact car models are allowed for Uber? What vehicles are eligible?
I am in the market for a new car, but I want to make sure it'll be eligible for Uber. …
Only if the riders find out - if it gets enough press.
Whoever these drivers are, they shouldn’t be advertising what they do. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
That’s where scammers will be smart and take the pics from different angles, different lighting conditions, upside down, etc. LOL
I am not a driver, but I no longer expect handouts at this point. I rarely see them now.
The big exception is UberBlack. I do expect or at least appreciate a better service such as a phone charger, water, mints, etc.
$1.00 per 5 minutes is a good guideline. Just as people got used to the 15~20% at a restaurant, we shoud spread this.
Not to mean to disagree, but I tip more for shorter rides. I know drivers get dinged for those. So if it's a $6 ride, I round up to 10. The least I can do.
Yeah, at the end of the day, this is a game of liability and who is responsible.
If you ask and it's on a video, you've done your part. Carry on and drive.
The third one is a windshield repairer. Not an Uber driver.
I thought Cabify worked with local taxis, no? I guess that isn't the point, huh.
I'd like to say "only in China" but it looks like it'll be a norm in US very soon.
no. though we do ride them. so share them, and voila.
Russian meddling.
The source of this article is so vague. In fact, I couldn't even find it. Damn local news.
This article is such crap. What drivers are reporting this crap? It's one of those stories journalists found some rare case and decided to blow it out of proportion so he has a story. Wreaks of it. (hehe)
I am sure one guy got reported, in order for this message to be sent by Uber. however, we all know the driver just wanted to frame the passenger for being an a-hole. True story.
I Don't think Uber is legally allowed to collect and keep that information, definitely not to that level of detail.
Also, remenber that your Uber app does not have to be on during the ride for the trip to be successful.. and it needs to be open for Uber to track your location, right? Hence, it wouldn't be a reliable for your drop off location anyways. (plus no actions are taken by the user at the time of drop off, right?)
Free psychiatrist, free nurse, free friends, exercise equipment, library, shower, etc. AND NO BILLS.
They covered this in Shawshank
I was looking at this one

No more douchebags. We'll do a Travis check at the door, every employee.
“Ultimately, I think that we’re not going to look to own the tech ourselves,"
This is what Lyft used to say for reasons they are not building AVs on their own. I thought Uber did want to own all these technologies themselves. They are building autonomous cars, airplanes and airports, etc.
willing? they already do. Plus, every company "loses" money developing new technologies. this is fake news crap.
Don't UberPool drivers get paid regular UberX, prices? So no drivers are affected by this.
link is busted?
