Looking at drivers.  You always hear about famous people taking Uber or Taxi rides, but when you see them, do you realize they are using their real names?

Don't these people have private drivers?  ...or is this a ploy to appear normal and relatable to regular people?  I am sure Kim didn't drive her around all over. this is ridiculous.

Sure, Uber.  I am sure it was a minor account issue.  You are just saying that to avoid negative publicity.  We hear about people getting banned all the time randomly for no reasons.

I drive in NYC, and I will tell you, more and more people are using only initials for their first names.  like, "J" and "K."   Needless to say, finding a "K" in the crowd is not easy.

So, I assume celebrities probably don't use their real names either. Even if I saw "T Hanks", I am not sure I'd realize that it's Tom.

Well, apparently Uber and Lyft employees look up and follow celebrities back to their homes, so...yeah, I guess they do.

Yes.  I've driven plenty of people in LA, and they definitely use real names.  Hollywoood, Santa Monica, Malibu, Long Beach, I actually asked one famous blogger why, and he told me, "why is there a harm?  The driver will know when I get in the car, so it doesn't make a difference."

I would imagine their assistants can create them accounts in their names, no?   Can't be that hard to anonymize them.  Though, I guess they would be breaking Uber's terms

Don't famous people just have assistants' names or fake pseudonames for all travels?  I thought that was the silent understanding.    I mean, what's the big deal. and how would uber be any different.

For all you know, you are giving them rides, but you are not noticing them.
