Uber Now Allows Drivers to Leave Feedback for Passengers
They could always leave us ratings but now they can leave us feedbacks. I thought passenger rating pretty much meant … -
Do taxi drivers convert to Uber/Lyft drivers?
Be understanding that your family car will fall apart 3 months into his gig. That ain't a sunk cost. More you drive, more you'd have to replace and repair. Tires, wipers, alternators, oil, everything.
So be understanding that when he isn't working and you drive the car, it can break down any point.
This sounds like a bunch of rambling from a loser who couldn't handle Uber's dominance. What the heck is he talking about how there is no "moat" around his company
What a huge chip in this woman's shoulder. Why doesn't she get out of the car? It's next to a hospital, and it's safe. She says she doesn't know where she is, but what is he supposed to do?
Just call another car.
fake news!
There was a thread on this a few weeks ago:

I think it ended up being about how these things look like pink vibrators.
There must be so much more to this story. I am sure many rumors and conspiracy theories will arise.
I will start one now. She was obviously abused, controlled, and pressured working for Uber during her tenure. She had no chance to make changes, she was treated as a puppet to spew beautifully PC thngs, and now will take the fall as a scapegoat.
and she is a woman. Par for the course.
I'd do it for $0.25 each. How long does it take to fill a bottle, come on.
You are talking about arrival time for the destination. I think the poster was asking about arrival at the starting location. I think.
what was it for? Do you think he got fired for losing it?
So I always thought Lyft drivers were all hippies. So more women are hippies?
discriminating is still discriminating.
but as independent contractor, I suppose they can. It's like freedom of speech thing? or that wedding cake baker that didn't make a cake for a gay couple? I can't even remember what happened to that.
With that many GPS-enabled devices, he can just stare the gps and not have to look at the roads.
Look at this dude with 6 services on his dash.

So hyperloop will never be a public transportation?
In Japan, the national railsystem (i.e. train and subways) was bought by prviate entities from the government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Railways_Group
in the days of Autonomous Vehicles, what is public transportation, right? Is it riding any car that isnt owned by me? it is me sharing a vehicle with other people? If so, does carpooling like UberPOOL count? Does it have to be owned by the city or government?
The line starts to blur a little bit, right?
WHAT A HUGE BOMBSHELL. Are you joking??? Everyone is greedy!!!
As part of the budget that New York lawmakers passed last Friday, ride-hailing services and taxis face a new fee if they drive in Manhattan. These aren't nickel-and-dime increases, either: Uber, Lyft and the like face a $2.75 charge for each ride, taxis get a $2.50 increase and group ride services like Via and uberPOOL will be charged $0.75 per customer. It's meant to combat congestion and help fund subway repair and improvements, providing an expected $400 million per year going forward for the MTA.
carload... pfftttt i gotta use that more.
We must keep challenging these things or evil will take over the world.
People thought it was a conspiracy theory that Uber bribes city officials, and look what we found out this mornig.

Can't the driver just switch apps? Say from Uber to Lyft? Then you can work 20 hours.
This is a great tip. I actually just used it coming back from vacation. I was at Boston Logan Airport with three kids. I was planning to use UberXL, but their TNC pickup is very far from the door. (and it was like 12 degrees out) We had a lot of luggage too.
I just walked up to the attendant at the taxi stand and requested a larger van. The guy said, "no problem. Why don't you keep your kids inside where it's warm. I will call you over when it's here." Two minutes later, a van shows up and we march right on in. The ride goes smoothly after
I usually try to take Uber for cheaper prices, but this ended up being cheaper because UberXL would have cost me 85~100. The taxi only cost me $76. I couldn't believe it.
