  OMFG. That’s hilarious. Such a desperate move.  The driver basically took the opportunity to run out of the car, grab a photo of your puke OUTSIDE just so your story with customer support will be slightly weaker. 

  I can imagine the odd call with Uber:

  You: the driver is trying to scam me saying I puked in his car. 

  Uber Support: are you saying this photo isn’t of your vomit?

  You: No, it actually is my puke but...”

  Uber: “are you saying you did puke during the ride?”

  You: “yes, I mean no, I was not in the car when it happened.  ...so it technically doesn’t count as during a ride.”

  Uber: “how would your driver have a pic of your vomit then?”

  You: “never mind.”

  Wait, does Uber not cap the age of the drivers?  Can anyone drive?

  I don't mean to be mean to gramps but I am not sure if I want 80 year old people driving people around.  How do they even quality for auto insurance . I feel like the liability and its risks would be very high.

  But that changed in 2017 when former engineer Susan Fowler rocked the company by making public allegations of sexism and harassment in a lengthy blog post. An internal investigation revealed a reckless office culture where "toe-stepping" was a prized value and executives had unchecked power. Travis Kalanick, Uber's cofounder and then CEO, admitted he needed to "grow up" after being caught on camera arguing with an Uber driver.

  Kalanick was ultimately ousted in June 2017. At that point, Uber was operating without a CEO, CFO, COO or CMO.

  - 2017, Susan Fowler's public allegations of sexism and harassment on an internal blog post.

  - Travis Kalanick admitting he needed to "grow up" after being caught on camera arguing with an Uber driver, while seemingly intoxicated

  and other ones like how employees had "god mode" and allegedly made thousands of fake requests to Manhattan Lyft drivers.

  Sit in the backseat.  Right smack in the middle.  Make sure to insist that the couple that got in after you "take both the window seats."  Then mumble, "You are welcome."

  One of advantages of having a GPS enabled mobile-app solution. One reason taxis became obsolete. 

  Before people start complaining about privacy and how evil Uber is, let's thank how much safety and accountability this technology has brought us all.

  I am sure the intention was good. There are some lines in there like, "Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride." and "my goal is to provide a top quality service."

  Then there are crazy and nutty lines in there that are super defensive and must come from 10 years of abuse as a driver. "Don't assume I have an attitude", "Misery loves company", "you just happen to be one of the few people who need to work on themselves" 

  Scary. That's some serial killer sh*t.

  I agree completley.  For all we know this kid made a mistake or went on a joyride and was later too afraid to tell his mom.

  I need more info for sure.  We all need to keep one thing in mind.  Why would any driver be stupid enough to do this as everything is being documented and there is paper trail?!!!

  We are only hearing one side of the story

  - Maybe this kid dropped the pin in the wrong place upon ordering one.

  - Maybe this kid was actually running away but later when caught, he told his mom that it was the drivers' fault.

   5 years ago in  San Francisco grants bike and scooter permits to only two companies - Scoot and Skip (One year Pilot)

  These bicycles and scooters are immediate commodity.  Think about it.  They are ALL the same.  I overheard people trying to decide which by the color and look of their bicycles.

  I have also seen someone trying to return a Lime bike to a MGH bike racks. What a mess.

  No one cares which bikes are there.

  The thing is though, it's completely arbitrary and it depends on whom you consider as part-time.  There are so many drivers who have driven in the past and no longer drives.  or those who drive like once a month for fun.  If we counted every registered driver, the percentage will be way skewed towards part-time drivers.

  Also, the rideshareguy's audience is primarily dedicated drivers.  Those who care enough to follow the blog and also took the time to answer the survey.  I would imagine the % is more like 95-5.

  That is messed up to rate negatively for no tips.  and worse for no cash tip.  The driver doesn't even know until much later or at all if he was tipped, right?

  I feel there is a weird movement or "resistance" going on among drivers to rate customers lower.  The good thing is that Uber knows this and it's all relative.  I did look this up once, and I do hear that average ratings for passengers is MUCH lower than that of drivers. 

  and passengers don't get deactivated for ratings. It's based on incidents.  Obviously, repeat offenders will be reviewed closer, and the ratings may help.  but it's definitely based on the number.

  I heard errors can happen even with dudes before and after shaving and with women who put on their make up vs. not.  Don't make this a gender problem, please.  You changed your appearance, and you need to work on making that stick.

  Uber has 99 problems but this ain't one of them.
