I think he showed some great restraint to be honest. The woman is refusing to get out of the car.

I don't know. I think SHE was the one to show restraint (someone practically screaming in your face is over the top). However strongly the man felt about it, there are rules in society as to how we address each other. Especially for the lamest of reasons that the driver said, "because she said she was in a hurry without acting like she was in a hurry?" If the woman was being put out because of some obnoxious behavior I could see someone showing out; but, the woman just kept her cool asking where she had to go to get where she was going. The driver is one who got on a rant and lost sight of what the issue really was about when he is so caught up in what he thinks is his "right" to treat another person poorly. The vehicle is the drivers but the rider was there by invitation. Would you treat someone poorly in your home just because it is your home and you can do whatever you like? I think I have to side with the rider on this one.

If he had killed the woman with kindness in the first three sentences he would have told her the current address, point out where it was the woman was going and said the ride is over and then just sat. The driver did not defuse the situation; but, in fact escalated it. Bad move all the way around.

Good point on the defusing thing. However, only the cool-headed drivers would keep calm and defuse it properly.
It's all a part of the customer handling skillset that most drivers don't have. (or at least the bad ones) This is customer service. Not just a driving job.
Straint? She should have left the car. She only stayed in the car to antagonize him.
I have worked in retail, and I know this type of people. They get a kick out of being harassing people who are in situations or position they cannot do anything about it. Think people who start complaining loudly at the storefloor, about the service they receive and how they want to speak to the managers. They keep yelling at employees who literally cannot say anything but to apologize and take it. (because they aren't allowed to)
TO THE DRIVER : IMMEDIATELY CALL 911 TO HAVE THIS LUNIE REMOVED FROM YOUR VEHICLE . IF IT IS WARRANTED PRESS CHARGES ON HER TO BE ARRESTED SO THAT THE OTHER LUNIES WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE BEING A JERK OFF.
What a huge chip in this woman's shoulder. Why doesn't she get out of the car? It's next to a hospital, and it's safe. She says she doesn't know where she is, but what is he supposed to do?
Just call another car.
She's loving it because she is video-ing it. This dude was trapped. Sucks.
This guy has a heart of gold. The woman is vivolating his rights to get out of his personal car. What a total b****.
Why are some women like this? I don't mean to be sexist, but she is riding on the fact that the driver cannot do anything about it, including putting her hand on her. She should get arrested for this.
Again, I don't mean to be sexist, but if that were a dude in the back he would have gotten punched in the nose, and that would have been the end of a story.
