This isn't quite fair in Dara's case though. Travis made Uber a terrible company and of course it will take time to dig themselves out of the hole. You can't judge Dara based on Uber's reputation quite yet.
I have done it before and the driver has never seemed to mind. People hate on Uber drivers but I have always gotten really nice people.
Some drivers are really creative with soliciting tips. One just had a sign that said "Tips for Tacos", I love tacos so I gave a tip...
