Not to sound crass, but not having money is a big issue and many (if not most) who commit suicides are known to have financial issues.
I am saying that the cause-effect is a bit loose here. We can't go around pointing fingers at every profession where a person commits a suicide and he had no money. There are plenty of investment bankers who make a lot but deeply in debt and end up committing suicide. We don't raise that in an article saying that their job didn't pay enough.
Did you try the calculator on the main page? Just enter two locations.
Gosh, 12? Coordinate with other parents and carpool. Works well. Hasn't changed much since the 60s.
Would you really trust a stranger? Forget the background checks. Drivers swap accoutns all the time.
where is this leaderboard. i can't find it in the app.
Being a taxi driver has always been said to be one of the most dangeour jobs in the world. Hence, its brother Uber driver cannot be deemed safe.
However, it's got some good things going for it.
Then again, there are things going against it too:
So as many things in life, money can fix things, like the fact that you are an a-hole.
Puke on the cab? Drop a $200.
Treat the driver like crap? Drop a $50 and fix it.
You can be the nicest caring person, maybe a single mom of 4 with no money, but can get dinged with 1-star ratings and be deactivated from Uber.
Hahaha. Good call. I feel like this is an area where Uber can really benefit the society. Safe rides for children. Plus, these kids can ride taxis, so the world no longer makes sense.
BTW, I will call you out that a 14 year old cannot sit in the exit row. They have to be 15. :)
Maybe people want fresh marijuana.
Sure you can bring dogs with you. and your gramps.
With dogs, you may want to check with the driver while he is on his way. Make sure to do it within 2 minutes.
With UberPool, you are NOT allowed to bring your pet. Sorta makes sense mright?
Depends on how you do it. do make sure to preface it with, "If you think i did a good job..." or something.
That was my thought too. Then again it's still disturbing.
Didn't someone recommend installing a emergency light or trouble light to the back trunk so authorities can see it?
Extra fees for Up-splashing, lingering odor, and surge pricing on taco Tuedays. LOL
What happens when you click on "Learn More"?
I love it how the app works in any market. Even in foreign countries. Come on, that is awesome.
What if the driver tries to make extra money by claiming he was much farther away?
Are you saying Lyft didn't copy Uber for once?
No, there really shouldn't be any reason. Uber doesn't make such distinction. The request goes to the closest driver, and the driver picks it up. These exchanges are in real-time. I don't think there is any benefit to Uber doing something like this.
I've seen them like once. I thought it was the driver being cute.
Yeah, sorry, Syed.
You bring up an interesting point i never saw before. Uber hid passenger information to prevent drivers from cherry picking but you are saying passengers can cherry pick too.
