Here is what you need to pass!
- License plates: Current and valid
- Tires: Need sufficient tread. On a US penny, tread must reach Lincoln’s head
- Windows: Free of major cracks, no cracks in driver’s field of vision. Windows must roll up and down
- A/C and heat: Must be present and functioning
- Wipers: Functioning and in good condition
- Lights: All must function. Headlights, turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights
- Horn: Must function
- Seat belts: All must be present and functional
- Seats: Front seats must move forward and backward
- Body: Free of major damage or dents
- Tailpipe/muffler: Must meet state standards

Ya I have to agree with you on that first story. Something seems fishy. Why in the world would you go alone into a strange mans house. he already tipped $20 that is way more than normal, just leave. My intuition would have been all over this.
I cringe everytime I pull up and my passenger has a small kid. I just cannot justify giving a ride to a child who is not properly seated. My sentiments reflect yours exactly, I truly could not live with myself if I was to get in an accident and hurt or god forbid kill a child. With that said I feel like booster seats are not much better. Half of them don't even seem to connect into the car properly. I guess this is better than nothing as you mentioned but I wish there was an even better way.
That is why i have dash cams and pepper spray. Some pax are crazy.
Yep! I drive for Uber and don't mind picking up people with their groceries. Just don't go buying some stinky anchoive pizza and carrying that back home in my car :)

Yes! I am severely allergic to cats and it always makes me nervous riding in Uber's because I never know if the driver ora previous passenger has had a cat in their car. They should definitely make this service. In fact it should be "allergy free rides" no animals, peanuts, treenuts etc allowed!
Uber really should have a service for this, I mean come on they have Uber Wine, Uber Puppies, Uber Food but not a service designed to help combat the sexual assualt that is so frequent within their company?!
yes, I actually did, it was stupid. Turns out they were in my area for a sons wrestling match and decided to do some Uber while waiting but for the majority of the ride I was convinced I was being kidnapped.
