Hello Rideshare Drivers,
Looking to garner some feedback on a new concept for rideshare drivers as a whole, regardless of current rideshare affiliation i.e. Uber/Lyft. As a former Operations Manager for a large taxi-cab company, I have personally witnessed the negative impact on once was a healthy industry. See narrative below...
- What if there was a simple to use mobile app, unlimited mobile apps that could easily distributed by the driver, to current and future cash retail customers?
- Rather than paying 25-30% of hard earned income to rideshare companies, would a rideshare driver pay a fixed modest low-monthly app hosting fee of $2.00 per day?
- Would most rideshare drivers recognize the value of such a concept and actively promote their white label mobile app, realizing substantial cost reductions as a ridershare operator?
Looking forward to discussing the concept, please forward replies to [email protected]
Thank you and as always, STAY SAFE out there!!!

I don't understand. So each driver could make their own app, and distribute that to riders somehow?
When the rideshare operator has been assigned to their own app, example MyRide001, same app can be easily downloaded to a customer's phone. These are "progressive web apps", seamless intergration via the customer's web browser. Apps are cloud hosted, function like apps downloaded from Apple/Google stores.
But each rider has to download the app for that driver. Is that right? Won't some riders end up with dozens of apps on their phones? How will they keep them straight?
Sorry. I must be misunderstanding something. Maybe I am not clear on what a progressive web app is. When a customer decides they want a ride, is there a single web page they go to, where they can access many drivers' web apps and see who is nearby?
