How to Request Uber or Lyft Without a Smartphone
Be careful of two things:
- When originally an account, Uber and Lyft will both attempt to verify your phone number by sending you a text message. If you are not able to receive this, you will need to work directly with Uber and Lyft support.
- The driver will not be able to communicate with you as they cannot call. This can become troublesome in some situations or when you are matched up with a driver who prefers to call.
