A dog as a driver?  No, dogs aren't allowed to drive.  Please be safe and use commonsense.

I actually have had a taxi driver who brought her dog on her shift.  but the kicker?  It was a service animal, with proper vest and license and all.

I was like, "oh, ok." but really, in hindsight, it was a bit weird.  The dog was super behaved, it was adorable, the driver was professional, but I feel like it really doesn't belong there.  Again, what if it wants to go in middle of a long trip?  Pullover while I wait?

I actually don't know what the handicap of the driver was either.  Could it have been sight?  Then how was she driving?  Maybe I've been had. LOL.

Well I'm wondering the same thing about my miniature schnauzer. She is 9 years old and totally my protector. She's really sweet and would ride by my side in the passenger seat unless it needed to be taken by a customer. I have thought about getting a gun because I work the night early morning shift. But I think it would be a lot more safe if I just bring my dog.. what do you think? She has human hair so if you had dog allergies there would be nothing to worry about

I personally wouldn't mind. It'd be fun!!  Then again, not all people have the same view on this.  You know how it'll be. 95% of the people will be happy to see your partner, but then the 5% will file a complaint or give you dings on the star-ratings.

At the end of the day, it may not even be about whether Uber allows it or not.  It can be about what people think and report.  Perhaps you can warn passengers upon receiving a ping that you have a small dog and if they would be okay with it.  No harm no foul.  That'll take care of the 5%.

It does matter whether Uber allows it.  This can be grounds for deactivation.

Non-drivers or new drivers are so blazé about deactivation.  They feel like it's a matter of being warned or just a matter of creating a new email/account or something.  Once you get deactivated, it might be forever. You never if Uber will respond.

I bet if you brought your dog along (so long as they are cute and happy) when doing the nighttime bars shift all the drunk people would love it!

Uber had that, remember? If you were stressed at work, they would drive over a basket of puppies and you can play with them for fifteen minutes.  Not sure why they didn't make it a permanent thing?  Sound business model.

      And mariachi band too.

Are you retarded.  Why would you bring a dog on your shift.  It just shows you are not taking your job seriously.  You don't deserve to be driving and being in a service industry.
