In the markets I drive in I usually see the standard 8 cars each in a small area on both apps. Meaning the area is flooded with drivers. I wonder how truthful they are being. Is it really only 1-3%. My guess is probably more during peak hours.
How much of city traffic do Uber and Lyft create. Uber and Lyft admit that their companies are creating traffic in some cities but only 1-3%.

The study showed overall how the traffic had changed, but what they didn't taken into account (and what actually matters) is the peak times, like during commuting times and around events. The roads are filled and it creates massive chaos.
These stats can show anything.
Just take a look at single city as an example. In Manhattan the congestion got so bad that it was obvious to all. It was even visible to the public that rideshare drivers would double park their cars EVERYWHERE. (It makes sense, right? There are ZERO public parking or places to pullover, so where do drivers go between fares?)
Forget the stats. It was affecting people's lives, people driving, police officers yelling at people. These were REAL happneings no stats can explain.
I am speaking in past tense, because they are trying to fix it now by the caps.
Yah I mean if they aren't going to cap drivers... it seems obvious that traffic will increase. They had to have known that, they aren't stupid.
They dont care. Just want to make sure platform runs smoothly for riders. They need to keep them happy. Uber said they want riders waiting no more than 2/3 min for a car. Its all about the riders, the people that pay. I think they really thought they would have self driven cars on the road much sooner. Since that still isnt reality they hate the fact that they still have to pay drivers. It's taking from their profit. Dara only made 46M+ thats not enough for him. He wants it all. Power and money, the next Amazon (for transportation). People will talk about him forever. Lol He will screw, cheat, and step on whoever he needs to. The man definately has a big ego.
That's a total lie in major cities, U/L have made traffic sooo much worse. That's why a lot of cities are adding a surcharge these days.
