i PLAN TO SCHEDULe a ride to the airport for 4:00 AM. The way I read all of the comments here that do NOT mean a driver has actually been scheduled and will show up. The ride request will just be canceled if no one is available? Then what is the point of scheduling ahead of time? How reliable is it that someone will actually be available at that time? Have folks had a problem with this

Scheduling does not guarantee you a driver. Lyft is a little better but still no guarantees. If you do get a driver a suggest calling or texting them immediately upin them accepting your ride. I am hearing many drivers are reaching the pick up, finding out where you are going, then refusing to drive because they dont want to go there. Lyft drivers are pulling up close to pick up but where you cant see them clicking arrived then being able to see your destination and cancellung if they dont feel trip is what they want. I dont agree with any of these things drivers are doing but I just want you to be aware what is going on. I drive to multiole airports in Philadelphia, NJ, and NY where I know those things happen. My suggestion is to use Lyft (slightly better), call the driver immediately, and ive yourself some extra time so you are not late. What city are you in and how far is it to airport if you dont mind me asking? I think its terrible what is going on with many drivers out there. Th…

Passengers have no control over rates. Part if the problem with airports are driving back on dead miles as most drivers do not want to wait in a 2hr queue after dropping off at airport to wait for a ride back.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply and it is nice to get the info from a driver. I live in Dallas, and DFW airport is a straight 20 miles shot from my house. I want to schedule the car for 4:00 AM and I would not expect any traffic around that time. I was curious about how reliable they are IF is is scheduled ahead of time, or if I am just in line for a pickup with anyone else who may request a ride at that time? ALSO, one more question. The "schedule" options for an airport want to know my terminal and gate. AA at DFW is in three terminals here each with 40 gates. I will not know the terminal and gate at the time that I schedule it, and any airlines in any airport change at the last minute anyway. How circuital is that at the time I schedule it in advance? OR, can the driver just play it by ear as we have it that info that AM? Thank you in advance
Schedule on Lyft - your chances are much better
Lyft post these rides on a virtual job board and drivers scooping up these rides know exactly where to take you and if they do not want this ride they would not add it to their que - so your chances are better with Lyft
Too bad your not in my area. Couldve made things much easier. I drive overnight mostly airport:)
