The Guru Take
Lyft does not currently have a delivery service so in short, no, your Lyft driver will not be able to deliver a package to you. However, sometimes, riders have gotten away with requesting a ride and then calling the driver to explain that instead of riding as a passenger they would like to transport something. Some drivers may agree but by no means are they obliged to agree to this type of request.
Courier Services - Available on Taxis and UberRush
If you want regular delivery, you can call a local taxi company who often provides a courier service. If you are lucky enough to be from a city that provides UberRush, you can use them to ship packages too.

This is actually fascinating. In fact, if this was commonly accepted, I would totally use this service. No need to drive both directions.
