Open the Lyft app. Click on Pickup Location (white bar at the bottom. You are then taken to a screen you can type an address, where you will see a bunch of shortcuts.  You will see from the top, Home, Office, "Add custom shortcut", then followed by recent searches.  Home and Office are presets you can set, and custom shortcuts is where you can add additional locations.

Can you still do this in the latest version of the Lyft app? I’m not seeing the option for adding a custom shortcut. The only option I’m seeing is my recent destinations.

I am still able to do it. Here are the steps I took:

        1. Tap on "Set Pickup". If pickup is already set based on your location, tap the location field to change it. (I had to tap it twice, the first time it simply collapsed the field)

        2. You will be brought to a new screen and on that screen the last item in the menu will say "Add a Custom Shortcut".

        3. Tap on "Add a Custom Shortcut" and input your desired address and shortcut name.

Hmm... That’s weird. The only options I’m offered are Home, Work and Current Location.

Here's what my schedule looks like.  Notice that "111 Huntingon..." is an address I created and stored as "favorite."

See the "Add custom shortcut >" right below it?

Thanks. I do see that. The problem is that the screen I get doesn't include that option.

I'm trying to upload a screenshot to show what I'm talking about but I can't seem to do that either :(

Have you updated your Lyft app on your iPhone or Android?  I didn't think this was a feature that is only released in certain locations.

I thought it might be the Location Services (your privacy setting on the phone), but I don't think that's it either.

If you really want the feature, you may need to contact Lyft! Look here-> How to Contact Lyft

                  Thanks for that.

Yeah, I have the latest version. I’ve made sure I’ve got location services turned on.

I think it might be your second guess: the feature is not available in my location: I’m in Canada, and it’s possible the Canadian version of the app from the Canadian version of the App Store is different and doesn’t have that feature. I wish they’d introduce it.

As for contacting Lyft, they seem to be doing everything possible to make that impossible. None of the listed topics on the contact applies. Is there a way to give feedback on the app?

Not my post... but super helpful! I'm going to do this in both my Uber and Lyft app now.

          Thanks, Greta

Taxi service business is always a revenue generating and dependable business to start and starting a taxi service business is now on the check list of every business wolf and budding entrepreneur. Though requiring a good amount of capital a taxi business can repay you the principle in no time and triple your investment in less than one financial year. Maintaining a clean location, servicing your cabs every once in a while, hiring dependent Airport Taxi and trust worthy personnel for your office as well as for driving purposes and setting up a GPS like system to always keep a track on your Taxi Service are few factors that are sure to make a hole in your budget in the early stages.

i can imagine this makes going home a lot easier. although i heard you shouldn't put in your actual home address, so your uber driver can't try to come back and haunt you or something lol
